Body-Solid StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym Review

Getting in shape is hard. Even if you have the time for it, you still need to go to a gym or other place to exercise and that means you have to travel. Going from place to place eats up time you could be using exercising and for some people, that is the cinch that keeps them from getting fit. Bringing the gym to your home is a way to get around this, but who has money for all of those different machines, weights and cables which would cost tens of thousands of dollars? The Body-Solid StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym is the affordable answer.

Costing only a fraction of the price of all those weightlifting and bodybuilding machines and tools, the StrengthTech Home Gym comes in at about $1,200 brand new and shipped to wherever you specify. You might be able to get it for less than this, but $1,200 seems to be the median price for this great piece of equipment. It’s arguably worth every penny because it gives you about 20 different ways to work your body, all while seated and comfortable. Up to twenty 10 pound cast iron discs can be used to give a total of 210 lbs resistance, since the carriage for the weights also weighs ten pounds.

If you’re looking to work your legs, you can do calves, thighs and quads all on the same machine. This Body-Solid brand machine allows you to work all parts of your body with different exercises and in different positions using a unique system. Instead of forcing you to adjust cables and constantly change alignments on this machine, the EXM2500S comes with two seats instead of one. You don’t need to adjust a single cable; simply change seats and you go from working your upper body to exercising your lower body with ease. I haven’t seen this on many other home gyms.

Putting together the machine is going to be complicated unless you follow the directions which come in the owner’s manual. As long as you mind them from start to finish though, you can put together the Solid StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym without a problem. You will only need simple tools to twist bolds and affix nuts, nothing complicated and nothing electric unless you’re looking to do this without any effort at all. I didn’t have any trouble putting mine together but some of the screws and such are the exact same size so mixing them up is possible but not really a problem.

I’ve had a pretty good experience with my Solid StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym since I got it set up and started using it. The design really is genius and instead of spending an hour driving to and from the gym I can use that time to exercise at home. I can do that without using any gasoline, too. In a couple months it has literally saved me about $200 in driving and membership fees so I’m feeling a little better about how much it cost now. This is a good way to get in shape as long as you’re willing to put in a consistent effort.
